Sorry to disagree with you all but this is definately not overpriced, after reading the description and figuring what a good quality embossed belt purchased separately and then getting a heavy pewter buckle, again, purchased separately, you'd definately pay more. I have a heavy leather belt and heavy pewter buckle that I paid far more for, of course mine is 2-3/4 inch and the buckle was made by Don McKee of Scottish Regalia but that is still a great price for a kilt belt and buckle.

I think I can beat it if you don't have to have the knot work on the buckle

I respectfully disagree that it's overpriced. Certainly is good looking.

Aside from the nicely tooled leather there's the pewter buckle and the obvious limited manufacturing run. (I would speculate that there is limited demand for 2½" wide belts these days. I mean, how many kilties are there?)

If it can be made cheaper -- and I mean all the elements -- then show me.
