    NTWA Jacobite sporran photo

My mate here in Japan that does a bit of leather work from home has just finished a Jacobite style sporran from the NTWA pattern that is on the web . Here is the link below that my sporran was made from

    http://www.nwta.com/patterns/pdfs/291sporr.pdf

The sporran was made out of soft leather and under the white horn fitting on the front flap is a magnetic catch that holds it closed. It turned out very well and holds everything that I need and it's 100% better than the fake black leather sporran which I bought . He also made the kilt belt as well.

Just be sure to keep that magnetic closure away from credit cards or anything else with a magnetic stripe.

I've erased hotel keys by being careless with the magnet on the back of a name badge.

Sporrans are a great deal of fun to make. Congratulations on that one.

In theory there is no difference between theory and practice but in practice there is.

    NTWA Jacobite sporran price

I just spoke to my mate Kenta and he said he would be keen to make some more Jacobite sporrans for US $ 130.00 . The sporran is made from soft leather & stained dark brown or black etc, The sporran strap is made from higher grade leather with an antique brass buckle . He does not own a sewing machine so it is all hand stiched. I think it's very good value for a sporran of this style. Postage to the U.S for example would be less than $15 I guess. If anyone is interested please let me know and then he could start making you one the same
