    Pith Helmet

    Anybody own a pith helmet?

I'd like to purchase one. I'm, as always, skeptic of the ones on eBay.

Anybody know a good vendor with a good helmet at a good price?

I've asked him before... said he got it as a gift.

    Gentleman's Emporium

I've never ordered from Gentleman's Emporium, but Mr. Newsome has mentioned them positively a few times.

I thought that I could give you some help by relating the lable on the inside of my helmet. Alas, it only says MADE IN INDIA and the size.

Perhaps Commander McCrag could enlighten us all.

My hat size is 7 5/8 and the pith helmets I've found in person to try on have all been "one size fits all" and too small for me.

Best to be sure your size is available....
