Poll: What flashes do you wear the most

This question is for the gents that wear hose with the kilt.

What flashes do you normally wear the most?

Tartan?
Solid color?
Strap (woven)?
None?
Other?

I actually use all of the first three choices, but solid colours are what I use the most now. Over time I think I will be moving more towards the wrap-around (or strap) style since they are more comfortable.

I wear the Traditional Garter ties from the Scottish Tartan Museum.

They never cut into my leg they way the elastic ones do. So for me I guess it would be Strap Woven.

Now I need to order more of them as I only have the one pair.

At the moment I have matching tartan flashes for each of my kilts, so that's what I wear.

Typically I wear boots with hose scrunched doon. So no hose. When I get my Newsome I'll also get the traditional garter ties to go along with braemer. Since I'm headed toward semi-formaland after finding some brogues I'll wear flashes more often.

I voted for solid color. The two colors that work for most of my outfits are red and black. For the newly kilted out there I would highly recomend getting these two colors as well as a pair of matching tartan ones. They will see you through most outfits.

I am becoming a big fan of the "traditional" garters Matt has available from the Museum. Especially since he can get them for us in the brotherhood that have "bulls" instead of calfs! I do have some tartan ones, but really I only wear those for formal occasions or with my band uniform. The ribbons I have a few but those are being decommissoned as I get more of the trad garters.

All of my kilts have some sort of blue in them, so I most often wear a pair of modern blue flashes. I also have a pair of bottle green flashes, but I don't wear them nearly as often.
