    Rampant Lion Sporran-Trial Run

Here are a couple of images of a Rampant Lion and a Fluer-de-lys I did this weekend to practice for a sporran and Kilt belt I'm going to start next week. (The fluer-de-lys is actually going to be on either side of the belt buckle to be followed by some celtic knotwork panels going from front to back).

The lion will be on an enlarged front flap of the sporran. I'm thinking of using a hidden magnetic closure and no tassles. I'm trying for a simple, clean look.

Thanks for the kind words on the Welsh Dragon sporran. I learned a lot from that first one so hopfully this one will be easier and better.

If anyone has an image they think would look good on a sporran front flap (knotwork or symbol) please send me a pm or link to the image. I'm always looking.

Very Impressive! I presume you will be puting these "practice" pieces in picture frames or otherwise preserving them!

    Nicely done.

    Looks REALLY nice.

Are the designs for "personal use," or is there "production potential"?

I really like the lion. You sir have leather working skills beyond mine by far. I hope to see a limited run for sell soon.

The rampant Lion looks fantastic!! I did a little leatherwork a long time ago (in the scouts actally) and was never that good. Best of luck with that sporran mate!!
