Real Blackthorn Shillelagh on Skymall $69

On a flight home last night was grazing the Skymall magazing in the seatback and came across this real blackthorn shillelagh/cane/walking stick:

I have no idea about the quality, but it is a Hammacher-Schlemmer listed product and their stuff is usually pretty good quality. Seems like a good deal for the money ($59.99), considering what I know others have paid for similar, and what I have seen them sell for on eBay. Might be worth considering for those interested.

I have several walking sticks that I recently acquired and if another one showed up on our doorstep, I am sure that, regardless of the cost, it and possibly the others might end up as kindling in our fireplace, so I am not in the market---at least right now. If someone buys one, please do a review for the rest of us who might be interested.

I don't know, it looks about the same as any I have ever seen, anywhere. I don't own one, although I would like to, but don't know what is good quality and what isn't. Sorry! But, great post regardless!

They look like the real deal; quality blackthorn sticks that are getting quite hard to come by. I paid a whopping $25.00 for mine years ago...!
