Following on my Harp badge enquiry (thanks for the great response fellas), anyone know where to get saffron coloured kilt flashes? Any info would be appreciated. Ta.

They are easy to get from any of our regular kiltmakers, like Rocky and even SportKilt. Whether or not that is easy for you, I can't tell. Nr which Manchester are you? New Hampshire, Connecticut, New Jersey, Ohio, California..... or England?

I swear I got my saffron flashes from SWK because their price was like 5$ (vs 15$ elsewhere), but they don't have that colour available on the website any more.

Perhaps I haven't looked hard enough but the 'regulars' seem to be lacking in saffon flashes at present, like most Kilt suppliers/retailers on this side of the pond too. No luck with military tailors either.

Can you get your hands on some appropriate saffron-coloured fabric? If so, you can fashion your own in a jiffy.

My alternative to saffron flashes:
I might have a spare pair of saffron flashes; I'll check.

Have you considered "Ancient Red" flashes from either Lochcarron or House of Edgar? They may not be the exact shade of your saffron kilt, but they should be close. Most saffron kilts that I've seen appear to be more rust-colored than golden, anyway.
Cordially,
David

It might be possible to get a scrap of the saffron fabric from a kiltmaker here and make up your own flashes. You could also cut a couple of long strips of the fabric and use them as garter ties.
