    Salmon Fly kilt pin?

Hope this isn't a break in formalities... making a first post here...

I am looking for something "different" in a kilt pin to wear on formal/special occasions. I love fly fishing and the beauty of salmon fly patterns.

Has anyone ever tried to make/tie a kilt pin styled after a classic Atlantic Salmon fly?

Does anyone know of a person in the US or Canada that I could commission to make one for me?

    Thanks,
    Jay J.

I would advise contacted XMTS member pdcorlis using the PM system

Our own Phil Corlis (PDCorlis) does just that sort of thing.

I usually carry 5 or 6 of his hand tied fly Kilt Pins in my shop but I'm running low.

A Private message to him should get results.

Here is a photo of my pin from Phil, it worked perfectly with the XMarks tartan I thought.

And how many kilt pins can do double duty if you should find yourself near some lovely winding river?

We need to come up with a collapsible rod for a sgian dubh, a reel that fits into a sporran, and line that can be worn as garter ties

Doesn't work! I had one many years ago and it just doesn't cut it as a legitimate fishing tool A big waste of money. It broke about the second time I snagged a hook and worked to free it.
If you can avoid it never get into a fair fight.
