Scottevest multi-pocket jackets and vests

AARP Magazine gave a heads up to http://www.scottevest.com/

A most interesting site for those of us who often prefer a vest or jacket in lieu of a sporran - particularly for air travel.

Seem to be a little down home outfit out of Idaho. Would have ordered the Red Rock vest this evening if they would have been open - maybe tomorrow.

Anyone have one of their products already?

Advertising a vest with 22 pockets to AARP members just sounds cruel. I’m only 50 and I know I would never be able to find anything once I load the vest up.

I'm more interested in NOT checking luggage. Between this and ForresterModern's sky roll thing, I'd be good for a week or more and not have to check ANYTHING! Plus my backpack which I can pack 2 full uniforms into....I'll be set. I don't care if I find anything, I'll just dump it all out in the hotel

I can tell you for a certainty that they didn't pay for this advertising. They are one of the most picky advertisers in the industry.
AND I'm 27 and I loose my keys in the 6 pockets of p@nts and a jacket. I am terrified to think of the lost loot in that vest.

and it certaintly was a mental exercise to remember what's where.
I've had it for a few years so I've developed the habit of putting things in the same pocket every time so now I can remember where they are.

The big key is having enough small pockets to keep metal objects from banging together. Like your flashlight, cell phone, iPod, and pocket knife.

Well, I ordered one today. Liked the "Red Rock" color. So hard to find a vest that's not tan or some shade of green. AND, they have a 20% off deal going on until May 1st. I asked if they'd been deluged from the AARP mention and they didn't even know about the mention.

I usually travel in my Filson travel vest - or wear it in lieu of a sporran - but it only comes in tan. Interesting to see what the "Red Rock" color looks like in person and if it goes with any of my tartans.
