Skye Highland Outfitters John Brown Sporran has arrived

As most of you would probably be aware, I have been waiting for some time for a John Brown sporran from Josh at SHO. Well it has arrived not 5 minutes ago and from straight out of the packaging I can say it looks great and well made. Josh warned me that I may have to mist a little water over it to get it looking pristine and I will be doing that today.

Photos and a full review are comming shortly

Gentlemen for your edification, the pics and review of the sporran.

The sporran is 16" long (not including the finial) and the cantle is 6"wide. As can be seen the rear pocket is very generous. About the size of a hunting sporran.

The goat hair has been sewn onto a hard leather base in four rows and an expoxy added to ensure that the stitches do not allow the hair to come away. I also like the shape in which the hair drapes.

The cantle is of pewter and in my opinion richly and nicely decorated.

Overall I am very impressed with the sporran and although it has was a long wait, I compliment Josh on the fine workmanship and quality of the product.

In the near future I hope to be able to post pics of me wearing it.

Now I see why everyone kept coming to SHO defense. Your new sporran looks great and I am officially jealous.
