So just what can you harbour in a Barbour?
For all of the Barbour-wearers out there, a delightful article from 2000 about Barbour jackets and the treasures they conceal:

I cleaned it out real well before sending it back this summer for a re-wax. However I did find Pheasant and Grouse feathers in the game pouch.

Good lord J.D.,your coat looks brand new! You need to drag it behind a lorry for 500 miles, calve a couple of thousand cows, put it through a combine harvester a couple of times, shoot and fish in it for a decade or two, even before it looks half worn in!

I would, but it doesn't rain nearly every day in Houston like it does in the Western Highlands. This jacket is fairly new, but, like I said, it's my third one! BTW, I cut down on all that labor by calving the cows using the combine harvester.
