    Some nice antique sporrans etc

Here are some old sporrans that have come and gone on Ebay, recalling the glory that was Highland Dress in the late Victorian and Edwardian periods:

    Here's one I actually bought:

And here's a crossbelt and waistbelt set I got over 20 years ago at a local Games, and lo and behold the matching plaid brooch appeared on Ebay, in Australia, and I bought it:

Excellent finds! I really like the zoomorphic design in your pieces.

I was watching this one on eBay UK, started at @ $14.00, went for $426.04!
I guess the fact that was listed as hallmarked silver added to the fevor.

Sorry, as I said these are all things which have come and gone on Ebay.

But there's things up all time! "Bugpiper" usually has some vintage sporrans, buckles, brooches, etc up.

I shouldn't be looking at this; it's bad for my tension.

    For What It's Worth

Antique silver sporrans usually sell on eBay for less than new silver sporrans cost in the shops and, as can be seen from the above photos, the quality and workmanship is usually superior to that available today.
