    sporran help

While I was taking a look at the construction of my father's dress sporran
(i'm hoping I can put together a day sporran for him) I noticed that one of the screws that holds the front plate on the flap has come off.

    picture this sporran here pic

my dad's is very similar except it is made of what looks like seal skin. See that front plate.....it has six theaded posts that go through to the underside. Over the posts you screw a small nut type thingy. Anyway...he's missing one so the rough post is poking through. Know where I can get another nut/cap thing???
Inside me is a thin woman screaming to get out. But I can usually shut the b*tch up with chocolate!

Hardware store. Take one of the other crown nuts off and take it with you to show them what you need.

crown nut....so that's what they are called. Hopefully the hardware store will have one that small.
I'll try that tomorrow. Thanks Bob C.

You'll probably be able to find one no problem at Crappy Tire.

It's probably still in the sporran. Turn it upside-down and start shaking.

It takes a brave man indeed to admit they have a screw loose.....

You should have no trouble finding a replacement.
Armageddon was yesterday. Today we have real problem.

Check both the couch and the cabinet with the single malt. Prolly in there somewhere.

Also try a crafts store, they usually have stuff that small.

can you post a pic of the other crown nuts still attached to the sporran so we can get a much better idea what we are talking about?
