Sportkilt advertises sashes for men
I've really got my doubts about this one. Sportkilt's latest offering is sashes which they show being worn by men, as a kind of plaid. Doesn't look like a plaid (day or fly) to me. Here's a link.

They've been around for a while...I was actually thinking of getting one for myself since I haven't found a sash that matches my MacPherson skirt or my husband's kilt from Scotsweb (Batley Mill).

whats interesting, is they will probably sell a lot of these.. to those who assume its proper wear.. to each their own, I guess.
