So, I've been a customer of Ebbets Field Flannels for a lot of years. Quality merchandise. Just got a card from them that they're having a sale and look what one of the sale items is.

Its a replica football jersey for the 1936 Boston Shamrocks. #32 on the back side. Thinking it'll work with my Ireland's National semi-trad.

Not cheap, but quality work. Reg $149 now on sale for $99.00.

Made to order with a 4-6 week lead so if you think its as perfect for St. Patrick's Day as I do best be ordering it up. And, the nice lady told me they run tight, so order a size larger than usual. They're available up to XXXL.

The Ebbets Field folks are up in Seattle near Pioneer Square and Utilikilts...nice folks dedicated to what they do, making replicas of old time sports uniforms.

Damn it! Not in my hometown!

I've been in their shop before, and they have a LOT of really cool vintage style jerseys. I've never been compelled to shell out any cash, but that might change for this one.

Must.... Stick.. To.. Budget....

The 32 is a reference to how many counties there are in Ireland. (The island)

Ahhhh....That brings back memories....NOT back to 1936 though!!!

I played Semi-Pro ball for the Marlborough Shamrocks (just outside of Boston) through the 1990's

Hey, I used to watch the Shamrocks play when I lived in NH.... oh the memories....

I was once a Shamrock, as well...taught grades 5-8 at St. Mary's School - home of the Shamrocks! I also taught grades seven and eight at St. Patrick School, where we were known as the St. Pat's Irish.
