Tartan Bomber Jackets

Got to wondering if anyone makes bomber/letterman style jackets out of wool tartans? Would be fun with solid color kilts.

Letterman style jackets have leather sleeves. Here's an example of a letterman/bomber style jacket made out of a Pendleton Mills pattern wool.

Found a bomber style jacket googling, but its a resale and for a lady...but shows the idea.

Know the company that made the Pendleton jacket might be able to adopt tartan wool. Gonna check with them. Not sure if it would even work with woven wool. Jacket wool appears solid, like a blanket.

I just tried on a plaid wool bomber jacket over the weekend. We were visiting the company store in Woolrich, PA. I didn't end up buying that one but we spent way too much money there. I love Woolrich clothing.

They had the bombers in the standard buffalo check plaids in red and I think blue but unfortunately not in any real tartans. I found the jacket style on the website but not listed in the colors I saw (closeout items?)

I know they had a number of jackets in their gift shop, but I don't remember any tartan ones per se.

Ok Ron, your confusing me. First its tartan shirts and now tartan jackets to go with solid kilts. I'm getting a headache, I don't know which end is up

Thanks Arlan, but no Black Watch for this Macdonald. Nice to see its being done though. Would be cool to find a jacket maker that would build a jacket from scratch from tartan cloth like kiltmakers do.

I meant just a Pendleton jacket like this or this. Not so much Black Watch in particular.I've got a few pendleton shirts and they are very thick and comfortable, so I imagine the jackets would be great.
