Tartan Duvet covers!
Amazon.com has some tartan duvet covers for sale which they call "Blackwatch".

I did have to admit that I was chuffed to see the white stripe, hoping this would be Forbes (my tartan).

On the other hand, this looks more like some sort of Lamont or Douglas: kind of a dark ancient version of the tartan. That means the picture is sort of correct, but the blue is a hair darker than it looks here.

I would have loved it if these were Forbes Tartan since a Kinloch-Anderson Forbes Duvet cover runs around US$500.
Nevermind, these are a great deal at this price and I am glad I bought 4 of them!

I have the "Blackwatch" one. Though, I bought it at a Sears store here in Canada. It was during a white sale, so I saved 70%, it was a great deal. It is very warm and makes a great winter Duvet cover.
Enjoy your new bedding,

The Forbes tartan and the Lamont tartan are actually nearly the same. The only difference is that one has black guard lines edging the white stripe and the other doesn't (I'll let someone figure out which is which). But this is a fairly modern convention -- in the past there was no distinction at all.
The Amazon product is not the Forbes or Lamont. It appears to be a fashion tartan. But you are right, it is very close to that design and I think would look great in any bedroom suite!

I'll look for these. Currently, I have the bedding by Tommy Hilfiger in Royal Stewart and Black Watch.

Forbes has the black guarding the white, yes?

Howdy all,
We put a Black Watch tartan Duvet cover on last week.
It's got plenty of creamy white fur on it already.
