    Tartan Flash on a Tam

    having seen photos of men wearing tams decorated with a tartan flash positioned wear a cap badge would typically be placed, i'm wondering what would be used to affix the flash to the cap? a hidden safety pin or a more decorative, prominent pin?

    The flash is usually sewn down on the tam.
