    Thorfinn TCS 87 - a nearly-formal sporran

A few weeks ago I asked Turpin of Thorfinn Sporrans to create a "nearly-formal" sporran for me. I prefer the Rob Roy styles for their practicality, where true formals just don't have that, IMO.

Turpin created one of his handsome sporrans using the lustrous hide of the Asian Buffalo that is shown on his website, with a Skunk flap and steel & skunk tassles. He emailed me a couple photo's yesterday and I should have it in a week or two.

    Jonesing...jonesing... <sigh>

    Anyway...here's TCS 87

    Lovely!

Cruel to view it so far in advance, but lovely all the same.

That is so nice, I want a skunk sporran and every time I drive to or home from work and I catch that waft of skunk road kill my yearning just gets worse. Then there are the countless raccoons I see sprawled out on the side of the road, just wish I could pick then up and fabricate my own coon sporran.
