    Trated Rudely by Vendor?

Has anyone had a good or bad experience with Burnett's & Struth?

I bought a Patrol Tunic from them, but I had difficulty communicating with my assigned sales agent. When I complained to the owner, she sided with the saleslady. I was surprised, but in the end, I was very happy with the fit!

What I gathered was that the vendor prefers to sell in volume to pipe bands rather than to the individual. But, maybe I had an isolated experience.

    Burnett & Struth

Had no problem on kilt purchase at the Barrie, Ontario store. Droped in to be measured and everything ready in less then two weeks.

I had a good experience with them too, except they got busy from their clearance sale in December and sent me Macman's kilt and he got mine. We exchanged them via mail and both of us got our kilts before Christmas. B & S sent us both sets of flashes for our trouble. I would buy from them again.

I had a wonderful experience with them earlier on this year and they treated my aunt like the Queen herself when we went up to have a jacket made, perhaps they were having an off day. I'm glad the fit was good.

I also dealt with Carol via email. She was often a wee bit short, but typically rather prompt and accurate in her responses.

I have had just one transaction with Burnett's & Struth: during their November sale I bought one of their Strome machine-sewn kilts. I'm delighted with it and with them and will undoubtedly deal with them again as soon as I accumulate the money to do so. Some people seem to believe that no vendor can provide all three of the trio quality, price, and service on any one transaction. Burnett's & Struth did all of that for me, and in addition they delivered the goods to me before my bank posted the charge. Who can top that?

Do the language laws in Quebec really require you to hire a mime who doesn't speak French if you hire one who doesn't speak English? Could a mime who doesn't speak either fill both roles at the same time? (Thanks to Calvin Trillin.)

Well, very good then! My experience was an off one, I guess. I ask only because I very much like what I received and was hoping to continue shopping with them.

    Thanks everyone.
