As I said I would, I ordered three in various lengths etc-and will give them a fair trial and report.

They arrived this morning, so watch this space.

At present I'm neutral on the idea, but felt that it was only right to find out before taking a position, or even no position.

I learned in sobriety to avoid contempt prior to investigation.

Since, in case of accidents, I wear tartan boxer shorts under my kilts when at work, I had to wait until this weekend for more extensive field testing of "the garment."

First, I'm a Bodyglide lover. So in the past I've used Bodyglide whether at work with tartan boxers under my kilts or off work 'regimental.'

Saturday was my town's local Pumpkin Festival at the city park. Wore my brown UK leather kilt for warmth with "the garment" for comfort. Did a LOT of walking around and I gotta tell you that "the garment" is much more comfortable than Bodyglide alone. I also no longer worry about transfering the Bodyglide from me to the inside of my precious leather kilt.

And of course, no irritation from leather against skin contact in sensitive areas.

Today, went 4 wheeling and hiking up in Southern Utah along Cottonwood Wash. Wore my UK caramel workman's - a lovely garment who's fabric is still stiff after a years worth of washings. Wore "the garment" under the workman's both for warmth and for comfort.

I've found Bodyglide only lasts so long particularly on the ol' fire helmet when its rubbing against workman fabric on a hike. Again today, "the garment" saved the day for me. Soft, comfortable, no irritation.

And...I still have that regimental freedom that I love.

Say what you will about all the implications and word games...this "garment" is the best example I've found of Form Follows Function since I discovered Utilikilts.

I still love my three "garments." I'm still gonna wear them with kilts that irritate my body parts or when I want to protect my expensive kilts from my own body oils etc.

And, my lady likes them. She didn't point or snicker. Just looked at "the garment" and said, "Well that makes sense."

Only word of warning I have is they are soooo comfortable you may find yourself lounging around the house in them too.
