Wearing more than one kilt pin at a time

I hope I'm not rehashing a previous discussion but I have a simple question: Is it OK to wear more than one kilt pin at a time? I'm wearing my kilt in the Fort Worth (Texas) Turkey Trot (I'm not running but am walking my daughter's two beagles) and can't decide which of my pins to wear. I have two kilt pins that I really like and would like to wear both in the Turkey Trot.

Do it! Most of my kilts have a default kilt pin, but at special times I wear an extra one. For example on Armistice Day, I wear a poppy pin.

    Regards

There is nothing in the Rule Book prohibiting the wearing of more than one kilt pin... Like Max Byalistock says in The Producers, "...if ya got it, flaunt it!"

Personally with my Dress Macmillan kilt I wear our family's cross. There is a man (in California I believe) that makes solid silver Macmillan cross necklace pendants with the front and back on them, also matching front and back pins. So I wear the front side pin over top of the backside pin.

I'm glad this topic came up because I was going to ask the very same question. The prompt was being able to wear the clan badge in addition to a kilt pin on the apron when going coverless. Thanks for reading my mind.

I almost always wear two pins, one at the traditional spot, lower corner of the apron and the second at about mid thigh. The look is great and the additional weight helps in strong winds.

There are two situations where I wear multiple pins. I guess situations is not really the best word. I have a set or four pewter pins in the four major trout species, any one of which is too small for proper kilt pin wear, but when I put all four in a staggered or diamond grouped pattern down right on my apron it gives the appearence of a school of trout swimming on the background of the waters of my tartan. The other relates to my "familycrest" and motto, which include three yellow hunting horns and the Forrester motto "Blaw, hunter, blaw thy horn". I have three matching gold horns that I wear in a triangle, as seen in the crest, in place of a single pin, exclusively with my clan tartans. Next time I get a moment I will try to get photos of each arrangement and post them.

I'm really happy to read the consensus is that it is OK to wear more than one kilt pin at a time. I do love my kilt pins!
