    Wearing a SK "Piper Plaid"

A few days ago I asked for advise on how to wear my new "Piper's Plaid from SK. Thanks to the responses,I got some great ideas.

NOTE, IMHO, I think this accessory maybe more correctly called a "Laird's Plaid" BUT what ever it is called, IMHO, it is a MUST HAVE accessory.

This weekend,my Black Powder Muzzle Loading club ( Green River Mountain Men ) hosted the Pacific NW Regional TAM Frolic. ( TAM = Traditional Muzzle loading Asso.) In spite of the cold damp weather, I Kilted up ( one of the Canadian participants, who is from Scotland & also was KILTED, joked that even the weather was "correct" During the event, had an opportunity to wear the Plaid in a variety of ways ( Shooting flintlocks, Archery, etc. ) My conclution, WOW, what a great addition.

Here is a pic of just a couple of ways that I wore it ( PLEASE DO NOT judge the look of the "kilt", by the "crusty old wearer.

That looks good for what you are doing - and for the weather. Here in Southern California, I'm not sure that I would have all that much use for it.

Looks like you may have a new avatar in the making!

You've inspired me to dust off my laird's plaid...for next winter. At 97F, it's a mite too warm out.

Puffer, ya look good! I couldn't wear that without looking cheesy.
