    Wedding Bells blu.......

Tomorrow is the day. I will be walking my daughter down the church aisle to stand beside her soon to be husband. The culmination of much work and great expense, this occassion is truly one of lifes milestones for me and my wife. I've rented a PC & waistcoat, pleated shirt & tie for event.

Alas... Everyone else is in tuxedos.

I had the kilt made with lots of rise so that I wouldn't have shirt showing under the waistcoat. I just the darn tie stays straight during the proceedings!

If it stayed straight, it wouldn't be a bow tie. Part of the charm is that they are always a little askew. Wear it, askew, with pride!

All the best Blu. I know you've had some hurdles to cross re kilts at weddings but I'm sure you will have a grand time! Other than supurb comments on your kilt women can't resist straightening a bow tie for you. Yet more welcome attention.
All the best to you and your wife and may your daughter have many many years of happiness. You and your wife are great examples.
    Cheers

    Your outfit looks great, Blu.

I don't know how I'll handle it when my daughters get there, but I'll be wearing the kilt.

    Congrats.

Thank you all for the positive words... it means a lot to us. The tension is now starting to build as we leave shortly for the rehearsal and dinner party. I finished writing my speech late last night and the remaining details are now starting to fall into place. T-20 Hrs and counting.

    Blu,

    Breathe in, breathe out.

You are cutting a fine figure of kilted pride, and toss in that proud Father you look mighty nice. Congratulations on the Wedding!
