What are your favorite casual shoes?

We all know what to wear with the full-on formal rig, but what about when you're just going out to the pub, or off to the Highland Games, and you're wearing a polo shirt or simple button-down with your kilt? What do y'all like to wear?

Personally, I wear these:

I bought them for casual evenings out (nice jeans, nice shirt type dress), but they seem well-suited to being kilted. They're lightweight, extremely comfortable, and I think just dressy enough without being too dressy. Unfortunately, it looks like Rockport may have discontinued them; I bought a couple of pairs when I found them on Zappos so I'll have more when my current pair wear out.

So, what do y'all wear on your somewhat casual days?

I really like these two toned black and brown Sperry Topsiders

They match my Freelander sporran perfectly and I have found them to be a most comfortable walking shoe

They can easily be worn with a polo shirt or can be dressed up to smart day wear (like my pictures show above)

Cheers

Jamie

Dr Martens Saxon Brogue. It's a nice funky twist on the "traditional" brogue, and yet retains the appeal of the time honored association of kilt and brogue--it satisfies the expectation that you might have brogues on your feet, but funks it up for you, IMHO. Dr Martens Brogues also come in a slew of even more funkified two tone colors, black and white, green and red as the second tone. My wish list includes some of the two tone models...Regards...

My favorite casual shoes are Skechers...or similar styles in other brands. They go great with jeans, shorts, khakis....and I'd venture kilts. I have quite a collection...black, brown, tan, white...

My favorite casual shoes are a pair of Oakley, (yes the sunglass people) hiking boots. They come just over the ankle and are some of the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned.

But as I was looking to post this image, I saw a new style that will go on my wish list...
