Talking Re: Windowpane tweed Braemar jacket

LOL. Impressive. I felt the impending disappointment from here!

Although I flash a broad smile for the usual HG pics, I always display a dour expression for my CHL and driver's license because those are ID cards and not exactly 'party' pictures.

LOL, you should see my driver's license photo. I didn't really mean to do it, but the look on my face is quite the condescending scowl. Between that and my "terrorist beard" (for such it has been called in jest by my friends), I am often subjected to more intense scrutiny by TSA screeners at the airport.

I made sure to put on a pleasant countenance for my CHL photo, for obvious reasons...

I've only ever seen this sort of thing on more formal jackets (like my mess jackets). Is this normal on a Scottish-made tweed jacket? I'm thinking of cutting it off, since I'd likely not use it, and I don't like that antler button hanging there. What do you guys think?
As to the extra button, I have the same thing on my Burns Check Argyll jacket, as well as the Braemar cuff detail, I wonder if they were made by the same firm. The buttons on this one however are wood.

You can just make it out in this photo. I have left it as I thought it one of those unique little details that sets it apart.

I used to wear a moustache until after I noticed that I kept getting pulled out of the boarding group by the TSA for "random" searches.
