X Marks the Scot Tartan Vest

Finally got a better pic of this vest that Kathy Lare sewed up for me...trouble is I'm frazzled after an eleven hour day.

The back of the vest is black and it has staghorn buttons.

I like wearing it with a solid kilt, like this Utilikilts tan mocker. Don't know if the matching flashes were a bit much, but I wore them today.

Looks good from here. I think the flashes are great.

Ron, Did you give her various measurements or just a coat size?

Ron, that looks smashing. I would never have thought it if you just described, but the solid UK and matching shirt make a perfect background to highlight the vest. Great job, and the flashes go as well.

She took my measurements Aggie. She had her booth at the Flagstaff games in 2005.

Nice thing about her, she whips out her tape whenever I see her. Result, kilts fit well.

Suppose I could have had someone measure me to her instructions, like on the websites.

    Ron,

I like the outfit. I especially like you connecting the vest to the rest of the outfit with the flashes. The tan shirt, kilt, and hose really make the X Marks tartan "POP" visually. I think it would go great with an all black or gray ensemble as well. Well done.

    Cheers

I echo Panache's thoughts on the grey or black ensemble with the vest.

    Looks sharp, Ron.

It works great Ron, it's nice to see other garments pop up in that wonderful tartan!
