He lives in Atlanta, just a couple hours south of us at the museum and right in the back yard of the Stone Mountain Games. I need to meet him to try and get him into a Brown tartan kilt.

My brother-in-law and his wife actually appeared in one of the episodes of his show:

Aye Matt, ya need to. The Brown is a nice looking tartan.
I'm an Alton fan as well, his "Feasting on Asphalt" series was great, Good Eats is too, Food Network is one of THE bestest channels on TV these days.

I saw that episode but must have forgot about that scene. Whoops!

Like so many geeks and it seems us here, I'm a fan too. I love the show.

I had no idea he was a kiltie. AWESOME! I wouldn't have thought my esteem for the man could've grown much more but here I am wrong.

I've had the opportunity to meet with him and if anything he is more of a geek in person. Very nice guy though. He got a laugh when he found out I studied aeronautical engineering before I became a chef.

I was watching Good Eats today, it was an episode where he was making eclaires or something. Anyways, there was a man wearing a kilt and playing the pipes. He made a comment somewhere along the lines of " this is the only kind of piping bag i can agree with" or something like that. I guess hes of fan of the bagpipes as well lol
