Anyone we know?
I just found this article while browsing. Seems a Kilted postal worker is meeting some resistence to his choice in attire. I was wondering if this gentleman is a member here. He has a nice collection to be sure. If you are a member good luck to you.

Heh you beat me to it. I read it and came to post it here.
(got caught up posting comments on it on another site)
I have always tempered my killing with respect for the game pursued. I see the animal not only as a target but as a living creature with more freedom than I will ever have. I take that life if I can, with regret as well as joy, and with the sure knowledge that nature's ways of fang and claw or exposure and starvation are a far crueler fate than I bestow. - Fred Bear

Seems that I recall someone on this forum has already commissioned a kilt in postal blue fabric and it even had the dark blue stripe down the sides. Just last Friday I was behind two postal workers in line at lunch. One was a female in a rather short box-pleated skirt in the same fabric as the gent's trousers.
From the Boston paper's article:
David Partenheimer, a postal service spokesman, added: "there are also questions of safety. Any apparel must go through extensive testing."
This strikes me as specious argument. If the women are permitted skirts, wouldn't that question have already been answered? Otherwise why would we accept that they should be in greater danger than the men?
At any moment you must be prepared to give up who you are today for who you could become tomorrow.

Photo and discussion on this posting....
