The Avengers
The Avengers just started on Fox. This is the 1998 version, with Sean Connery in his only (?) kilted film appearance.
I am easily moved for sympathy for dogs, far more so than for humans, because dogs do not understand. There is no way to explain that you will return, that the vet will make it all better, that they cannot go shooting today because that is not what today is about. They cannot work out that their misery is finite and will some time end, and so their misery is magnified.

I loved the old TV show, but, while the casting in the movie is marvelous, the script leaves a great deal to be desired. It feels like it's about two-thirds of the movie it should have been.

I have in on in the background, waiting for the scene with Sir Sean in full kilt.

It was a very disappointing movie all around.

True. The only reason I had it on in the background was Connery's appearance before the world's governments.
Speaking of which - diced balmoral with three feathers (clan chief), doublet, jabot and lace cuffs, black hose with red flashes, ghillies, fly plaid ...
but what tartan was he wearing?

Yes, but he wasn't kilted, Ramirez appeared as a Spaniard with puffed cravat, and velvet bloomers.

He is outfitted in a kilt briefly after being resurected, but I don't remember if he wears it later in the movie.
