From today's BBC "In Pictures":

"Bagpipers the Red Hot Chili Pipers launch the Gathering 2009 festival for Scottish clans at Holyrood Park in Edinburgh. Events include Highland Games, piping and traditional dancing."

Great shot! I saw this band perform last year, and they were a blast. Good group to open this event.

I was afraid they would be wearing the Red Hot Chili Peppers band uniform which consists of a sock on the willy.

Great to see the wee lad with a practice chanter, in his kilt, walking with his father the first piper. Never to young to learn the pipes.

I picked up two of their CDs when I was in Scotland last fall they are brilliwnt with the pipes. I guess the wee man is going to start the chillie pipers mark II
