    BC Highland Games adverts

    Part I

In 2006 the poster advertising the BC highland games had something on it that stuck out to me when I first saw it. I emailed the people in charge of advertising and told them what I had noticed.

Can anyone else see what is wrong?

sorry for the poor quality it was the only copy I could find.

Are his pleats in the front or am I seeing things?
I have always tempered my killing with respect for the game pursued. I see the animal not only as a target but as a living creature with more freedom than I will ever have. I take that life if I can, with regret as well as joy, and with the sure knowledge that nature's ways of fang and claw or exposure and starvation are a far crueler fate than I bestow. - Fred Bear

Tough to tell but are his pleats in the front?

Last year would be 2007 -not- 2006

    Part II

So like many of you have noticed, the kilt is backwards. Well apparently I wasn't the only one that wrote it about it last year as this year they have come up with a good poster. It's basically a giant "DON'T" that many of us have seen (or done ) at games in the past.

Kudos to the BC highland games for a fun advert this year.

I wonder which is worse: wearing the kilt back ward or wearing the kilt inside out?

    aaah the backwards kilt again

Oh fellow kilted ones our journey to educated the masses is never ending. A few years ago I noticed at the Royal Ontario Museum that the kilt was on backwards in one of their displays dealing with British Army in Canada. Once told of this mistake I would have thought they would have rushed to changed it.. yet month later it had not been changed. Image the legions of school kids passing that display and then years later using that as their reference at their's or a friend's kilted wedding. The scurge of the backward kilt must be twarted.

Good work fellow kilters - fight back the ignorance of the masses!
