Chambers Bay Golf Course.
Here's an article about a new course opening in near Tacoma Wa. Called Chambers Bay. The mayor of University Place was wearing his kilt for a photo op. And fo course the media is poking a little bit of fun at him.

It is a links style course that has been built at an old gravel pit. The city is trying to draw a PGA event to the area with this Course. A round for a county resident will be about $100 during peak season. About $135 for a nonresident.
Heres the link to chambersbay.com for more info on the course.

A good photo of the Mayor, he is quite properly attired and certainly a wonderful ambassador for the kilt.
The reporter seems to have some issues with the terminology, mistaking a glengarry for a tam-o-shanter. But not everyone can be as well tuned into the dress as the x-marks rabble.

Looks like a good ambassador for the new course. I just can never wear my sporran when I golf. It just gets in the way of my swing too much.
So fill to me the parting glass
Good night and joy be with you all

No gentlemen, us. We had a few ideas what might lurk beneath his plaid party man-dress:
• Some wine, cheese and a tray of free samples from Trader Joe’s.
• The ol’ yeller clock tower from Clock Tower Square.
• Apples from the Curran Orchard he’s helping squeeze into cider.
• Still unsigned UP Town Center contract documents.
Readers might have been rightly outraged to pick up the front page of Thursday’s paper and see a deranged nut staring out at them.
A few new answers here to the what's under question.
I had to read this last bit three times. It appears initially that they are referring to their kilted mayor as a deranged nut, but when you read on further down they seem to have moved straight into another topic, and it isn't at all clear whether they intended to call their mayor a deranged nut, or whether they now begin to refer to someone else.
