Well it is that time of year were the Santa's will be gathering for there Celebrate Santa Festival & Convention in Gatlinburg TN.

The Holly & Shamrock Parade will be held on Saturday March 13th this year starting at 4PM taking over the many drag in Gatlinburg. If any of you X-marker's are in the area it will be a fun parade to watch.

Last year we have over 600 Santa's, Mrs. Claus's, Elf's and reindeer running a muck. If any of you can make it please introduce yourselves and perhaps join us for something to eat with us after the parade.

Just remember I-40 has a major detour between Asheville, NC and the Tennessee line, due to massive rockslides. If your route includes that stretch of the interstate, you need to renavigate or allow extra time.

Sandy and I are on our way from Florida, left a little before noon this morning and just pulled off the highway beyond Atlanta to spend the night. Terrible rainstorm south of Ocala, could hardly see to drive on I-75. It was really bad where the Florida Turnpike joins with I-75, couldn't see to move over to get off the exit right after the merge. Everyone was driving SLOW with 4 way flashers on.

Will be traveling in my heavyweight wool Wallace kilt tomorrow, saving my Clan Claus kilt for the parade and C. S. Festival. Looking forward to stopping at the Tartan Museum in Franklin NC tomorrow on our way to Gatlinburg. It will be our first time there.

I have the worse news, Wednsday Night mother nature came to visit with that darn stomach virus that's going round, It started about midnight and I was up most of the night, discharging from both ends, anyone who has had this knows what I'm going thru, its terrible, the fever broke this morning but it has left me pretty weak and dizzy feeling, I wanted to be on the road today, but it looks as though I won't be going anywhere now. Just one more disappointment in life.

Sorry to hear that Rodger!
It's no way to be when traveling. We'll miss you. Take care of yourself. I know how you feel, I had that a couple of weeks ago but without the fever.

Maybe you could stop by Cooter's Garage and have your pic taken with the General Lee.
