The event is actually the full Edinburgh Military Tattoo complete with an exact replica of the castle. Its taken them nearly 6 months to build the set alone! It is the first time it has ever come to Australia and unfortunately I cannot get the time to go

And Howie Nicholsby of "21st Century Kilts" in Edinburgh was 'shipped' out to Sydney by the Government-based promotional organisation, "See Scotland", to represent the Best of Scottish Kiltmaking. This was for the duration of the Edinburgh Tattoo performances.
He should be back home this week, and I am meeting him in London on Saturday (to collect another TFCK kilt) so I expect to hear all about his first visit to Australia.
