I have this memorized and sing it in the shower quite often to the chagrin of my lovely wife who can hear me belting it out from anywhere in the house.
God bless the kilted everywhere and all who see them!

The kilt! It gets in your blood and cannae be removed through medicine or magic.

Weird! A similar thing happend to me a while back, except it was a white ribbon. Doesn't that just mean "participant?" Embarassing.

Now, if I could just come up with a funny word to rhyme with 'participate' I could deliver an alternate ending to the song.

    Thinking...got it!

It's one of my favorite songs. Once I was directing an opera called Die Fledermaus. In the middle of the second act there is a party scene and often a company will have various other performers come in and perform during that scene as if it is part of the opera. I started out as a singer (and still perform) so she asked if I wanted to be one of those performers. I said I did but rather than a classical piece I had something else in mind. I did this number and it was a big hit.

Did anybody ask to see your Fledermaus?

This is a fun song and here is a stick figure animated version with the same singer. Sent this to my GF and she howled with laughter
