    Finally, Paul in a kilt

Last night we watched the series final of Monarch of the Glen, Series 6, episode 10.

As Paul officially and formally becomes the laird he is dressed wonderfully in a kilt during the ceremony.

Still, IMHO, the show is a shadow of it's former self without Duncan. He was a truly kilted man and an inspiration to me.

You heard that from the president of the Duncan fan club our own Graham! I have only seen the first two seasons, and like what I saw, but at least the kilt is still an influence of some sort in the following seasons.

I'm not sure, but I thought I remembered Paul wearing a kilt in the Hogmanay special. It's been a long time since I've seen it though...so I can't be certain.

yes, you're right Rufus, but he'll never be as good as Duncan. The show has gone to the dogs I'm afraid.

Paul did look quite good in his kilt, as did Ewan. Donald could have used a bigger size of jacket though and Chester looked sharp in a black kilt, black dress shirt, and PC.

I hope that the new series is a good finishing touch, but already it sounds like it is going downhill. Isobel is not back (due to pregnancy), and the series will only be 6 new episodes. Hopefully some old cast mates return for the end.

Didn't it go to the wolves? Are they even still around, or did they move to New Zealand too?

6 episodes!! And I thought the first two series were short! Hopefully the show goes out with a bang, rather than a slow fizzle.
