    Fred & Ginger

Iwas flipping channels on the TV when I ran past a channel that had a kilted man! I changed it back the that channel and found it was Fred Astaire and Ginger Rodgers in kilts! It was the Barkleys of Broadway (1949)

I completely forgot about that movie. Fred looks great in the kilt. Ginger's not to bad either. Thanks for the picture.

Hey, I was just in a counter culture shop down in Flagstaff and picked up an 8x10 promo of them for a couple bucks out of the poster bin.

He's kilted, she's in a pleated tartan skirt.

    Fred looks great!

I'm not so sure about his hose though, they look a bit flimsy to me.

And why is ginger wearing a sporran?

    I suppose it is hollywood!

    That's not a sporran. It's a sheer kilt.
    (Okay, that was just WRONG).

Besides, I thought Fred was supposed to be with Wilma.

I actually found a site last year that had a list of film appearances with kilts. I'll need to do a "Google" search to find it again, but it was quite extensive! As soon as I get it, I'll post the link... unless someone beats me to it.

Once again my computer monitor and keyboard need to be cleaned off, thanks to Jimmy.
We just HAVE to meet in person...I think we'd get along just fine. A twisted sense of humour is a terrible thing to waste.
