    Get Your Kilts On

Its not every day that I warrent attention from the press. In fact I was about 9 when it last happened ( I was dressed up as a cannibal in our Lord Mayors Parade). I belong to a cell group which is part of my church CFC that meets each week. One of the members is a repoter on a new Belfast Paper The Belfast DailyView. She asked one evening if she could do an artical about my kilt wearing for the paper. I said yes why not. I thought she was joking, but no, she was serious. A few weeks later I spent the morning with a photographer in Belfast doing a Fashion shoot. I was then later interviewed, and the result was a two page spread. I was bowled over. The response has been fantastic. Have a look at my web site to see the pictures and the text of the interview. As usual with reporters, some of the facts are not quite as I stated, but no matter.

What a great article! Daneel, you have done well with your comments, and what can I say about that picture on the bench climbing to greater heights.

    Well done!

Too bad I wasn't on this forum in October when we were in Belfast... We could have tipped a pint. Oh well, next time.

What a splendid effort, Daneel! Well done!

It seems that Gail Edgar is far more attuned to kilts and kilt-wearing than the jounalist who did the article on me for the Brighton Argus last July.

I was hopelessly misquoted - but I was given the 20-photo centre-fold spread!

    Keep up the good work!

You have to be a bit patient with it... it takes a few minutes to load.

I quite enjoyed the article. Even if not totaly accurate, at least the reporter didn't load it up with witless sarcasm.

So did I Graham. In the end I got it but the on-screen image was so small I could not read it and resorted to printing it off!

I suspect it is something to do with Acrobat, which is something I have never used and do not understand. Two Club Newsletters and the STA's regular Bulletin are sent to me by this method, but I never get to see any graphics or colour - annoying when the STA is showing tartan references!!
