My real name is Michael which has plenty of nicknames for it. As to how I got stuck with Bubba, a friends 3 year old daughter hung it on me years ago and it stuck.

Franklin, eh? I don't know anyone over here called Franklin. Named after a president, no less. I don't care if Hank is a nickname. I think I might adopt it as well, along with 'Hamish the dog'.

Re: Sunday Post

Actually, as a child, I hated the "Hamish" name and refused to use or acknowledge it. Apparently, our neighbours at some time owned a Sheepdog which they called "Hamish". I therefore believed that to be a Hamish one had also to be a dog! (Don't you DARE say a word, Al.!!!!)

!!

Woof!

So....where does your Hank come from. I sense a good story here.......

If it's any consolation, my nickname at work is Reg. Maybe only the UK folk will work that one out!!!
