My real name is Michael which has plenty of nicknames for it. As to how I got stuck with Bubba, a friends 3 year old daughter hung it on me years ago and it stuck.

| | | Re: Sunday Post Actually, as a child, I hated the "Hamish" name and refused to use or acknowledge it. Apparently, our neighbours at some time owned a Sheepdog which they called "Hamish". I therefore believed that to be a Hamish one had also to be a dog! (Don't you DARE say a word, Al.!!!!)

Hank comes from Henry. My father is Hendrik and is called Henk (Dutch) A bank manager called him Henry one day, he promptly took all his money out except a penny. Thay had to send him a statement every month....
