Happy Birthday, Stone Phillips!

AM New York has a daily list of celebrity birthdays. Among those celebrating this special day today is newsman Stone Phillips.

I mention this here because the photo accompanying this list in today's edition shows him in a kilt. It's a small photo so I'm not able to make out it if it's a tartan or not. He's wearing what looks to be a purple kilt with matching vest.

Stone has participated in various of the Dressed to Kilt fashion events held here in connection with Tartan Week over the past few years, but it was still a surprise to see the one photo of him dressed this way. Go, kilt visibilty!

Yep, that's the outfit in the photo I saw, sans jacket. Good thing I wasn't able to see how sloppily he was wearing his sporran.
