Irish Spring fashion show 2005

Found this link while surfing kilt nights. It looked like a fun day was had by all. Children looked happy to be in dress, and the NYPD pipe band was there. Did anyone know that NYPD had a pipe band? I thought everyone knew the NYPD had a pipe band. Both the NYPD, and the FDNY have pipers. This year, on St paddies weekend the NYPD pipers were here in Boston where they had a battle of the piper bands with the BPD at Doyle's. BFD also has a pipe band.

I don't think any of them are regular kilt wearers however. Seems they only wear them for piping.
