Sorry. I didn't realize how abstract that comment was. She had several facial piercings. "Oddballs" don't phase me a bit. It's like the Shallow Hal effect. Ya know, where he saw past outer appearances? Kilts just don't register, unless the man's wearing a really nice sporran or pin.

Is Tim Burton trying to suggest mercury induced insanity and Madonna-esque make-up equates with kilt wear? We need to know.

Just got in from the movie and I'll leave reviews to other forums. BUT, as I didn't know about the Hatter/Highlander bit, I barked with joy when the camera panned back from him handling a claymore to reveal the kilt! Worn askew, as befits the Mad. He kicked some butt, though. Not like some others, but held his own.
And afterward he dances, which brought another bark.

...and on the barking mad note, the March Hare has a pretty thick brogue..!
Aye, lads, a fine enterrrtainment. Enjoyed by all.

I'm taking the family to see it later today. I just might go kilted.

Just saw it tonight. The kilt was either Hume or (more likely) Black Watch and he wore a child's horsehair sporran. Although he spoke in an English accent throughout the film, I noticed that he spoke in a Scottish accent every time he was talking about battle, rebellion, and revolution...

Saw the movie last night. Truly amazing. After several close glances, as we sat fairly close to the screen, Mr. Depp appears to be wearing MacDuff hunting modern. If not, it look very similar to the kilt in that sett which I once owned.

I saw it in IMAX 3-d in Baltimore. Not impressed with Movie, Story or Depp.

Saw the new Alice when we went to the theatre determined to see a 3D film and Avatar was no longer being shown that way.... This 3D Alice was OK I guess but as far as the script goes, a sad travesty of the combined childish + magical logic of the original, sort of like Shakesphere being rewritten by a committee of salespeople. Anyway, I may have been confused here but I thought the otherwise rather-too-reminiscent-of-another-Disney-movie-character Dormouse was at times also being portrayed as Scottish. And I thought a lot of the Scottishness seen at times of rebellion was a riff on Braveheart. Did Disney have anything to do with that movie? It would explain a lot, product placement etc....
