Kids TV Show - "HI-5" - Curtis Wears It Backwards

Greetings!

My daughters love the brief morning kids show, "Hi-5". If you havent seen this show, it features three youthful and attractive females and two males who sing and dance and entertain and educate children.

Whoever does the costuming for this show should be canned because the cast is always attired in ridiculuous outfits.

The males are perpetually emasculated by feminine dance moves and costumes (well, at least MOST males would be - I can't speak for them)so today I was happy to see that "Curtis" was wearing (well, sort of) Scottish garb during one of their skits.

This poor bugger finally gets some manly clothing!! Then, I saw that he was clearly wearing his kilt backwards. The pleats were fully centered in front.

I dove for my camera but only got these pics - one of him seated and a blurry shot that doesn't clearly show this.

That's why a kilt is not a costume! You just look silly if you don't know what you're doing.

I've seen that episode (with my kids). It always bothers me when people don't do their research. If only there was some sort of vast library of knowledge out there, something easily excessible from some sort of 'computer'. Maybe some day.

I think we can worry too much-think here of the famous SCOTTISH comedian Harry Lauder-and his parody of the way a highlander would dress.

Certainly we will earn more respect when we can laugh at ourselves.

Too though it is not a show I can watch being here in The UK-compare it with the adul comedies where say service uniforms are being parodied-we laugh at them.

Or what about the Carry On Up The Khyber film of some years ago?

I don't know if I would boycot them, but I sure have spoken to them about it. It is asinine at best.
