Kilt in Deathly Hallows part 2

    Funny nobody mentionned it yet....

I know there are a lot of HP fan here, the only pic I found is this one.

At one point in the movie he does a pretty good spell, my wife turns and tells me '' He's powerful...'' and I answer ''Of course, he's wearing a kilt....

I know the pic is small, but if somebody else can find a bigger one, feel free to put it up on this thread. And if somebody can tell which tartan it is, that'll be nice too...

Saw the movie today. What a great movie, what a great time! And Aberforth in a kilt! Awesome!

Here's a bigger version of the same pic.

I'm no expert, by a long shot, but I don't think this one has a name. I don't recall seeing very many non-symmetrical tartans, though as I've mentioned, I barely know enough to even have an opinion.

It's still pretty sweet looking, though.

he was in the 5th movie when they go into the Boar's Head for their first Dumbledor's Army meeting... I saw him walk accross the room to chase a pig or something and saw his kilt, and pointed it out to my parents "look! he's wearing a kilt!" lol

Right. It's not a tartan kilt, it's a tweed kilt. In this case the warp and weft overstripes don't match.

When I saw big pic,I thought it was tweed, nice to know I'm not the only one to think so. I also like the vest....

Is it one of the Welsh tartans, woven in tweed? Or just a tweed pattern made into a kilt? Where are Matt and Peter when you need them?

    Oh, perish the thought!

It did look good on the screen as I sat, wearing my kilt, in the theatre tonight with the kids.
