Kilted pipers in Times Square

I came into work this morning and FOX News was on in the break room. They were going on about the death of Bin Ladin. They showed a celebration in Times Square, NYC. There were two pipers in kilts in the footage for about 10 seconds.

Not so sure I see a persons death as a cause for celebration... Relief, certainly. But I don't know that I can get behind celebration...

The generation previous to mine would have celebrated Hitler or Tojo's death in similar circumstances, and with no moral compunctions whatsoever. We of course, or at least most of us, rely on other people volunteering to fight our enemies and are not involved ourselves, so we have the luxury of a higher moral ground- if that's what it is. To flip the coin, who would have celebrated if UBL had escaped last night?

Anyway, when I saw those lads this morning, I was sure someone on Xmarks would be identifying the tartan they were wearing. What was it?

I never said his termination was a moral conundrum. It needed to be done. Celebrating the death of a human being is to me the problem.
