Kilted Skiing March 2010
Thought some of you guys might be interested in seeing this event that took place on Cairngorm Mountain Scotland earlier this year. It was a bumper year for skiing , and early signs this year are going to be the same. Anyone know of any other such events. Do not think that this has been posted before, but if so then apologies.

I saw a guy Nordic style skiing at Vail a few years back and thought it was pretty cool, but that was before I was kilted. May have to try it on my snowboard sometime.

I was skiing in Red River, NM a few years ago and one night I heard bagpipes playing at the top of the mountain. Looking up, I saw a line of 2-3 pipers and about 20 skiiers carrying torches (the fiery kind) winding their way down the slopes in the dark. It was an amazing sight! When they got to the bottom I saw that a few were kilted although not all. Still, it's a moment to remember!

Well that's entertaining! You've got to wonder how bad falling over would feel or how many times their kilts flew up.

Fabulous! Thanks for that. I'd put on skis for such an event.
