Kilts on Arizona TV - the picture

Here's a group photo of all of us Kiltics that were on the Arizona Midday program last Thursday. I'm at the left end holding the Claymore. Even out here in the scorching Sonoran Desert, there's a sizeable rabble of the tartan army!

Channel 12 got a lot of positive feedback about us being on the show, so there seems to be a very good chance of us being featured again on St. Andrew's Day (Nov. 30). As for a video from last Thursday, well, I'm still working on getting a hold of that...

Happiness? I'd settle for being less annoyed!!!

Good pic! Red, is your left hand resting on a dirk? And looks to be a throwing hammer in front of the feet of the guy in the baseball cap?

Sharp eyes, SH! My left hand is indeed resting on a dirk, it's a beautiful old blade Graeme borrowed from a local police captain; wish I could say it was mine! And our Highland athlete, Jeff McCotter, did bring along a throwing hammer. He's also wearing a medal he won recently (I believe at the Prescott Games in May), but it's hidden by the person standing in front of him. I believe he's currently ranked 15th nationally in the amateur class.

Thanks, KCW, but there are days when I certainly feel all of my 50 years! It's undoubtedly attributable to good Scottish genes & fairly clean living, but sometimes I like to say my youthfulness is one of the healthy benefits of regular kilt wearing! I just don't add that I've only been wearing kilts for just 3 years...
