    Kilts and Austria

    I've found an old link on how the kilt was actualy invented in Austria. OK, I believe the kilt-like garment wasworn all over the world in the past anyway.

    I am not to sure about the claims of INVENTING the tartan kilt. But I will say that skirt-type garments for men have croped up in several cultures.

    What??? I have never heard this before and the article was dated 2004. I did a google search and not one picture could I find of an Austrian kilt.
