    Lads in Plaids Making Waves

    Hell-o all,

Today in the business section of one of our local papers (The Denver Post) is an article about a water company named Highland Water who as of yesterday is requiring all of its employees to don the kilt.

Granted the owner of the company did call it a uniform, but he said he is glad to be wearing a kilt as is his 14 year old son.

All in all a fairly good article.

They would probably benefit from the New Nylon sporrans from Stillwater. A bit more functional and durable (not sure about cheaper )

I forwarded it to the owner of our company who has expressed an interest in getting a kilt (I've not convinced him to pull the trigger...YET ) Here's hoping Oh, but then I'd not be the only one in a kilt anymore. Hmmmmmmm...quite a predicament

I have toyed with the idea of starting my own business several times now with the sole purpose to make the employees wear kilts.

My wife has talked me out of it every time by showing me the mortgage statement and reminding me that a steady paycheck and benefits from a big company beats the heck out of running your own business.

She is probably right ... after all according to her the last time she was wrong was June 15, 1973 @ 5:12 in the morning ... long before she met me! ... :-)

Interesting, but, an even more (to me anyhow) question is which kiltmaker got the order for all of those kilts. I hope it's someone we know here.

How cool is that! I wonder if they'd pay well enough for me to quit my job up here and immigrate to the Denver area. Hmmmmmmm...

just gave them a ring - they hadn't thought of doing t-shirts but MAY do so in the not-to-distant future. I mentioned to the guy (who i think was the owner) that the article was a hot topic of conversation on this site (didnt think to mention the site by name - DOH!) and he was very pleased at that.

maybe if there were a few more calls..... :-D
